DR GILLIES MCDAVID
Dr McDavid also incorporates the use of a Meridian Stress Assessment (MSA) machine which allows the analysis of entire body systems via the measuring of electrical resistance levels through acupuncture points on the hands and feet. This allows Dr McDavid to determine imbalances in the body brought on by various causes including, but not limited to, chemical, hormonal, allergic, infectious or even toxic causes. The very sensitive and highly accurate analysis system allows for fastidious diagnosis and subsequent treatment protocols stemming from information gleaned from the MSA system. The MSA assessments are 90 mins long as they are very comprehensive and require in depth scrutiny of the entire body.
All homeopathic treatment protocols are safe and side effect free. Dr McDavid treats patients from young babies through to the elderly and everyone in between. Initial appointments are typically 60 mins long in order to take a comprehensive case history with physical examination where follow up appointments are approximately 30 mins.
Although not contracted into medical aid, patients do receive a prescription / invoice whereby these can be submitted to medical aid for refunds. All scripts are furnished with all relevant ICD 10 codes, procedure and NAPPI codes for medical aid and subsequent refund purposes.

BIOFLEX LASER THERAPY
This is a real option when you visit the The Laser Clinic at CORE. BioFlex Laser Therapy is becoming the treatment of choice for musculoskeletal conditions as well as a wide range of medical conditions. The BioFlex systems deliver Low Intensity Light Therapy – LILT, the safe, effective way to treat pain and inflammation.
This technology uses super luminous and laser diodes to irradiate diseased and traumatised tissues with photons. The process is curative and therefor results in the elimination of symptoms, including pain.
It is highly effective in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, arthritis, sports injuries , wound healing, and wide range of dermatological conditions.
Compared to traditional treatments, patients recover from musculoskeletal and peripheral nerve injuries with less scar tissue, accelerated cell regeneration and improved function.
The treatment is administered by Physiotherapists Asteera Singh and Nicole Fitzgerald who are both registered BioFlex Laser Therapists. A course of treatment is usually advised. Treatment sessions are covered under your Physio benefit from Medical Aids.
